At Scott Shapiro, M.D., we use a state-of-the-art laser system and an innovative radiofrequency microneedling device to safely and effectively minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The best treatment—or combination of treatments—for you depends on your goals and the condition of your skin. Your provider will sit down with you to review your concerns and answer your questions before deciding on the appropriate course of action.

Skin rejuvenation treatments generally cause little to no pain, although you should expect to feel some discomfort. Topical numbing cream may be applied depending on the treatment.

Most skin rejuvenation treatments can easily be performed over your lunch hour.

Depending on your skin’s needs and your personal goals, the number of treatments may vary. Patients typically see visible improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after the initial treatment, but for long-lasting results, we generally recommend three to six treatments.

Your skin needs time to heal between treatments and to increase its production of collagen and elastin for maximum effectiveness. We have found that scheduling treatments four to six weeks apart provides the best results.
