Skin rejuvenation treatments may cause mild discomfort, but they are typically not considered painful. Topical numbing cream may be available as needed or recommended.

Both laser skin revitalization and microneedling are relatively quick procedures that take between 30–60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
